The evolution of an infinite population of interacting point entities placed in Rd is studied. The elementary evolutionary acts are death of an entity with rate that includes a competition term and independent fission into two entities. The population states are probability measures on the corresponding configuration space and the result is the construction of the evolution of states in the class of sub-Poissonian measures, that corresponds to the lack of clusters in such states. This is considered as a self-regulation in the population due to competition.  相似文献

We study a spatial birth-and-death process on the phase space of locally finite configurations \({\varGamma }^+ \times {\varGamma }^-\) over \({\mathbb {R}}^d\). Dynamics is described by an non-equilibrium evolution of states obtained from the Fokker-Planck equation and associated with the Markov operator \(L^+(\gamma ^-) + \frac{1}{\varepsilon }L^-\), \(\varepsilon > 0\). Here \(L^-\) describes the environment process on \({\varGamma }^-\) and \(L^+(\gamma ^-)\) describes the system process on \({\varGamma }^+\), where \(\gamma ^-\) indicates that the corresponding birth-and-death rates depend on another locally finite configuration \(\gamma ^- \in {\varGamma }^-\). We prove that, for a certain class of birth-and-death rates, the corresponding Fokker-Planck equation is well-posed, i.e. there exists a unique evolution of states \(\mu _t^{\varepsilon }\) on \({\varGamma }^+ \times {\varGamma }^-\). Moreover, we give a sufficient condition such that the environment is ergodic with exponential rate. Let \(\mu _{\mathrm {inv}}\) be the invariant measure for the environment process on \({\varGamma }^-\). In the main part of this work we establish the stochastic averaging principle, i.e. we prove that the marginal of \(\mu _t^{\varepsilon }\) onto \({\varGamma }^+\) converges weakly to an evolution of states on \({\varGamma }^+\) associated with the averaged Markov birth-and-death operator \({\overline{L}} = \int _{{\varGamma }^-}L^+(\gamma ^-)d \mu _{\mathrm {inv}}(\gamma ^-)\).  相似文献

A rescaling procedure is proposed for electron spin echo envelope modulation spectra observed at several electron paramagnetic resonance transitions. Analytical expressions describing the relations between the rescaled frequencies and hyperfine and quadrupole parameters of the remote nucleus are obtained. The dependences of the rescaled data on the external magnetic field and spin projections of the ion nucleus and the remote nuclei are used to derive the parameters of the nuclear state in the crystals Y2SiO5 and YVO4 doped by ion Nd3+.  相似文献

Acetaminophen (paracetamol) is a widely used analgesic and antipyretic drug that is safe at therapeutic doses. However, acetaminophen overdose can be fatal. Currently, the only treatment available is the N-acetyl cysteine. The diterpene kaurenoic acid (ent-kaur-16-en-19-oic acid, KA) is the major constituent of Sphagneticola trilobata (L.) Pruski. KA presents anti-inflammatory, anti-nociceptive and antioxidant properties. In this study, we evaluated the efficacy of KA in a model of acetaminophen-induced hepatotoxicity. KA increased, in a dose-dependent manner, the survival rate after acetaminophen overdose. KA reduced acetaminophen-induced hepatic necrosis and ALT and AST levels. KA decreased acetaminophen-induced neutrophil and macrophage recruitment, oxidative stress and the production of IL-33, TNF-α and IL-1β, alongside with normalisation of IL-10 levels in the liver. Therefore, KA showed preclinical efficacy in acetaminophen-induced hepatotoxicity and lethality.  相似文献

One of the most interesting problems of modern physics is the realization of nanoparticles in macroscopic quantum states, in which they behave as a quantum objects. These states can only be implemented at ultra-low translational temperatures that have not been achieved so far. Here we develop a novel method for optical cooling of CaF2:Yb3+ nanocrystals, which is based on the coherent population transfer induced in the impurity ions by ultraviolet Raman pulses. A doped nanocrystal localized in a radio-frequency trap is cooled due to the photon recoil from the pulses of varied intensity. The proposed method allows to obtain nanocrystals with translational temperatures of the order of 10?9 K, which indicates that the nanocrystal approaches a macroscopic quantum state.  相似文献

We present finite-difference time-domain studies of the Goos-Hänchen effect observed at the reflection of a self-collimated beam from the surface of a two-dimensional photonic crystal. We describe a method of tuning the shift of the reflected beam in photonic crystals through the modification of the surface, first structurally, as a change in the radius of the surface rods, and then all-optically, with the addition of nonlinear material to the surface layer. We demonstrate all-optical tunability and intensity-dependent control of the beam shift.  相似文献

The coupling of the electromagnetic field to gravity is discussed. In the premetric axiomatic approach based on the experimentally well established conservation laws of electric charge and magnetic flux, the Maxwell equations are the same irrespective of the presence or absence of gravity. In this sense, one can say that the charge “substratum” and the flux “substratum” are not influenced by the gravitational field directly. However, the interrelation between these fundamental substrata, formalized as the spacetime relation HH(F) between the 2-forms of the electromagnetic excitation H and the electromagnetic field strength F, is affected by gravity. Thus the validity of the equivalence principle for electromagnetism depends on the form of the spacetime relation. We discuss the nonlocal and local linear constitutive relations and demonstrate that the spacetime metric can be accompanied also by skewon, dilaton, and axion fields. All these premetric companions of the metric may eventually lead to a violation of the equivalence principle.  相似文献

A master equation, for the time evolution of the quasi-probability density function of spin orientations in the phase space representation of the polar and azimuthal angles is derived for a uniaxial spin system subject to a magnetic field parallel to the axis of symmetry. This equation is obtained from the reduced density matrix evolution equation (assuming that the spin-bath coupling is weak and that the correlation time of the bath is so short that the stochastic process resulting from it is Markovian) by expressing it in terms of the inverse Wigner-Stratonovich transformation and evaluating the various commutators via the properties of polarization operators and spherical harmonics. The properties of this phase space master equation, resembling the Fokker-Planck equation, are investigated, leading to a finite series (in terms of the spherical harmonics) for its stationary solution, which is the equilibrium quasi-probability density function of spin “orientations” corresponding to the canonical density matrix and which may be expressed in closed form for a given spin number. Moreover, in the large spin limit, the master equation transforms to the classical Fokker-Planck equation describing the magnetization dynamics of a uniaxial paramagnet.  相似文献

We consider a particle falling into a rotating black hole. Such a particle makes an infinite number of revolutions n from the viewpoint of a remote observer who uses the Boyer–Lindquist type of coordinates. We examine the behavior of n when it is measured with respect to a local reference frame that also rotates due to dragging effect of spacetime. The crucial point consists here in the observation that for a nonextremal black hole, the leading contributions to n from a particle itself and the reference frame have the same form being in fact universal, so that divergences mutually cancel. As a result, the relative number of revolutions turns out to be finite. For the extremal black hole this is not so, n can be infinite. Different choices of the local reference frame are considered, the results turn out to be the same qualitatively. For illustration, we discuss two explicit examples—rotation in the flat spacetime and in the Kerr metric.  相似文献
